Thank you for your time and help. The dial sometimes ‘locks up’. It wont turn, at times, past the off to pots and pans selection. Then I have to take some pliers to get it to click then its free and gets sometimes stuck at the next selection if you dont turn it quickly to normal or light wash. Once past the stuck points it turns normally. Once past these ‘two’ stop points the timer and machine work fine. We only use normal and light cycles ever. May sound simple, but have you tried to pull the knob off and clean around it?
I have had dishwashers of this type that had some junk build up around the knob and the face of the dishwasher that got gummy and made it hard to turn, just a thought…
Thank you so much. It worked had some kind of hard candy like substance in it. My guess it would get soft when running but when it cooled down it became stuck/glued till i broke it loose each time. I feel so dumb :eek: . Thank you again, Happy Holidays
