Dishwasher detergent dispenser

I need to replace the detergent dispenser on the door of the dishwasher. I was told the part to buy is Whirlpool AP3042848.

How do i remove the old one,. and then go about installing the new one. I presume I have to pry off the the exposed covering first.

please advize.

This job is very simple. Remove the two screws holding the side trim (on any side). Remove the trim and pull out the outer door panel. The new dispenser comes with the installation instructions.

The dispenser AP6013816

is the correct part number.

there are no screws on the sides.

as stated there are no side screws. I only see the cover with the two doors and the third empty space beneath. On the sides, one sees the black gasket and above that the top assembly.
