Dishwasher contol panel lights up will not start cycle

Main Symptom: Will not Cycle
What happens & when: Electrolux dishwasher FFBD2411NB1A Push start button, everything lights up, cycle does not start. I have to do this 2 or 3 times before the dishwasher starts cycle. Cycle usually completes, if not I start the process over again.

When the dishwasher fails to start, does opening and then closing the door change anything—such as reducing how many times you have to press the start button before it responds?

If that doesn’t make a difference, try turning the power off at the breaker for a minute and then turning it back on. After restoring power, does the dishwasher start normally?

These checks can help narrow down whether the issue may be related to the door switch assembly, the main control, or possibly another component. Let us know what you observe and we can continue troubleshooting from there.
