Dishes Left Soapy

Bosch SHP865WD5N

Dishwasher is about 7.5 years old. Has worked great up to this point, but now leaves dishes soapy almost every cycle. Usually run a 60 minute cycle without soap to get rid of soap on dishes.

Water is naturally soft. Have used Cascade powder and no rinse-aid since the beginning. Filter is clean.

I’d stop a cycle about midway through and open the door just to make sure the spray arms are getting proper flow, if it seems to be spraying the upper and lower properly it may be that the dishwasher needs to be cleaned out, try running a cycle with the unit empty and add a cup of white vinegar after it is done with the initial fill. If the issue continues after that you might have a faulty soil sensor 00611323.

Thanks for your help. I opened mid-wash and both arms were rotating and seemed to be spraying. I’ll run a cycle with vinegar, but our water is naturally soft and we really don’t have any problems with things liming up.

The last few days, the thing ran four or five loads in a row that were fully rinsed and perfect. Then today, I got a load that was badly soapy and streaky. It’s either one or the other.

Can the symptoms of a bad soil sensor be intermittent like I’m seeing? I’ll probably order and install a new one, but if you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Thanks

OK, I replaced the turbidity sensor and ran a cycle with vinegar. No change. First load after that was spotless. Second load, the dishes were covered with a soapy film. Doesn’t seem to be any real pattern to when it’s going to work properly and when it’s not. Seems to leave everything soapy about 25% of the time and perfect about 75% of the time.

Other ideas?
