Dish washer wont start

my dish washer would not start the only thing it will do is when i push cancel it will drain the air dry light will light come on when i press the button then when it got dark out i notice all of the cycle lights are on very dim but none of the option lights are when each button is pressed the light goes out i just bought my home and dont have much of a history on it

Most likely the problem is a bad control panel. In order to provide the right part number I need the color of the control panel.

the control panel is white and some gray
