Main Symptom:dirty water in tub
What happens & when:at the end of the wash cycle there is ditry water in the tub,it appears that durning the wash cycle that it does not turn the drain pump on.i have checked the drain line for blockage, whenn i use the cancel mode it drains the water out.one possible cause i have thought about is a dirty turbidity sensor.if that sensor is dirty would it prevent the machine from going through the drain sequence and just keep the machine running in wash mode?
Error Code (if any):no error codes

Hello, it is rare that a turbidity sensor fails, but it can happen. Usually, it will fill, wash, then pump out, and then go through the cycle over and over, but it will always pump the water out. I would think the control board would be the issue because you said that when you hit cancel/drain, it works ok. That tells me the pump is good. The board is failing to tell it to drain. Update! I removed the turbidity sensor the exterior condition didn’t look bad but I wiped it down, reinstalled it and now the dishwasher appears to be working correctly.so now the question is was it the sensor or maybe loose wires? If it continues to operate properly we will never know.thank you for your response. Now for future reference would I be able to disconnect the wires from the drain pump connect a volt meter to the wires and watch for voltage being applied durning the wash cycle? Is there anywhere I would be able to find a cycle time chart as to say when the drain cycle would be?
Yes, pull the wires from the pump, stick the probes in the wire connector and hit cancel/drain, if voltage is present and the pump won’t run, the pump is bad. A time chart is sometimes on the wiring or service manual. Most people don’t know how to read them, go for it. you can figure it out.
