Defrost timer replacement

Main Symptom: Temp not consistant
What happens & when: Defrost timer does not allow condensor to come back on. Purchased a new Defrost Timer from your company. trying to figure out how to replace it. The new one comes with screws but the old one is attached inside the control panel to plastic pins. How do I get the old one off? (see photos attached).

There should be a retainer clip that holds the defrost control in place. Use a flat blade to get under them and work them off.
