This error code is a pain to find and repair as you can see.
You will have to open it up and check/clean all connectors.
Clean with electronics cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush be sure all the solvent has evaporated before reconnecting.
Also have to check all the wires in case one is broken.

Do not know about making your day but finding it will probably use up a day.

Thanks denman. I disconnected all the connections on the motor, Motor Control Unit, Central Control Unit, Door switch and everything else I could find. All connections looked clean, no corrosion or crud. Checked continuity, and resistance everywhere a spec was given. Everything looked good. The only thing I found was that Central Control Unit was lying on top of the drum rather than in its proper position and the top cover of the CCU was missing. Apparently this washer was serviced earlier by someone who did not put everything back where it belonged. I did notice there was no click heard from the CCU when the washer was first plugged in, yet there was power to the front panel and the LED and buttons seemed to work. There was power to the CCU. I suppose the no click could indicate a bad CCU. Iโ€™d get FC 14 then FC 11. When the diagnostic test was run the washer would lock the door then start filling the tub for 10 or 15 seconds then stop. Do I replace the CCU or did I do something wrong?

By the thanks for the quick response.

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

If you are interested in having me repair your CCU for you, I offer that service on โ€œe bayโ€ (website coming soon). My username there is โ€œjhagnerโ€
