Just recently my wife did the laundryat 2 different times. Whites came out of the washer white as white can be. Into the dryer directly. When the cycle of drying was complete the clothes were dark gray! The inside of the drum has black residue on it that wont clean off. The lint trap is full with black lint from white cloths! The first time we thought it was something I had left in a pocket or mabey some dark socks or something had gotten into the load. The next 5 or 6 loads were ok now tonight I got my insperation to write to you folks on this forum and ask whats up with this problem now that it has happened twice!!!
The only thing I could think of that might be a problem to look at would be that she set the timer in the morning when she went to work…6:30 AM and when I got home at 4:00 it was still running. The timer never timed out. Did a seal or a gasket or something burn? Why is the gray laundry happening every 5 or 6 loads of wash? Dryer was installed 12/09.
