DA97-12628M Water Dispenser missing 1 plug

Parts or tests already tried: Old part does not match new part

I’ve checked the site aswell as the samsung site and the part I received should be correct. The problem I’m having is that the old part has 3 wiring plugs and the new part only has 2. My question is, do I have the wrong part or did Samsung eliminate something that would only cause the new part to plug in in 2 places instead of 3. Lighting maybe?

According to the information available to us that should be the correct part for this model. Do you have pictures of the original part and the 3 wiring plugs that you could attach here?

I was able to resolve the issue. The additional plug was for lighting within the original assembly that are no longer used. I installed the new part and every works as it should.
