Cracked Blower Assembly: Crosely CDE7300RW0

Brand: Crosely
Model Number: CDE7300RW0
Main Symptom: Replacement blower part 137551110 sent from Appliance Parts Pros is verified by website to be compatible but cannot be installed without making potentially damaging alterations.

Attached photos show the difference between the old and the new blower. Notice how the old blower is built without threads in the shaft, while the new blower requires threads.

My only solution is to attempt to hammer out the new metal threads, potentially breaking the plastic section.

I will either need professional instruction on how to do so, or a link to a different part number compatible with this type of motor shaft

This new blower housing and blower wheel is designed to be replaced altogether. If your original motor came out of the blower with the metal sleeve still attached to the threads, you need to remove the sleeve from the old motor; it should come off backwards, by turning the sleeve to the right to remove it. If you cannot get the sleeve off, then the motor will need to be replaced. All motors have threads.

Your input was very helpful. Thank you.
