Cooktop turns back on!

I have a Frigidaire flat, ceramic, electric cooktop. The model number is FEC30S6ASF. One of the elements has developed a problem turning off. When the problem began, the element would occassionally only go to the highest setting, even if the knob was set to low. Then it began to have a problem turning off. When the know was turned to the off position, the element would turn off, only to click back on a few seconds later and continue at the highest heat setting. After turning it on and off a few times, it would finally turn off completely. Now it wont turn off and I have to turn off the breaker to get it to stop. When I turn the breaker back on, the element goes back on at high heat. What is the problem and do you have the part? Thanks for your help.

You need a new infinite switch and it looks like both types are in stock. Let us know which switch is having the trouble and we can get you pointed in the right direction for the part. Replacement is easy to do also, just need to lift the cook top up enough to get to a few screws, install the new switch and move the wires over. Then put it back together and enjoy.
