My ceramic cooktop stopped working while cooking. All four burners stopped at the same time. The controls still light up and the hot surface light stayed on until the cooktop cooled. But not of the burners will heat up. Oven works fine.
A Model number may help others help you.
Sounds like you have lost the 240 volts to run the elements.
Try switching the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
