Convert xlo to standard

Looking for info on how difficult it would be to convert xlo burners on left side of Thermador PRSG364GD to standard type as on right side. Simmer controller died, part was discontinued, cannot find replacement anywhere. Anyone ever tried it?

I’ve got the same problem. I’d love to know if someone has done it.

I’m in a similar situation. I have a bad potentiometer (confirmed by swapping with the other working potentiometer) but the problem is the newer replacement potentiometers won’t work with my existing simmer controller and the newer simmer controller is discontinued. Seems like it should be possible to bypass the simmer controller entirely so I’m also hoping someone has done that before.

Dan, I couldn’t find anyone that has done this conversion. I was, however, able to get my XLO burners back working. Since the simmer controller is not available anywhere, I looked on ******** and found a guy that sells salvaged parts. He even takes free returns if the part doesn’t fix your problem. I had to try 2 simmer controllers until I got the right revision # for my range. His ******** name is “dr_frankenstove”. I’d highly recommend you check in with him. I don’t see he has a simmer controller now so I’d contact him and let him know you are looking for one.

Try using Epay and $ears. You have to change the spelling here.

See http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/252800-thermador-xlo-issue.html#post916616 for a way to fix the module.
