I took apart the control panel, and as the linked image shows, the rubber below the three buttons on the right side became too brittle and broke. It looks like all I need is to replace that plastic housing for the control panel (the rubber seems to be molded onto the plastic), but where can I get a replacement housing? Any suggestions?
Thanks, –Laszlo
I can’t access the pictures, but what you’re looking for is the control panel assembly W10620451. This comes with the user interface board, the buttons, UI housing, and other control panel parts. You can get the UI board W10619841 by itself, our site is calling it a housing for some reason but that is just the board, but the actual housing is only available as part of the control panel assembly

Oops, sorry, I posted the link, but forgot to make the file “viewable by anyone with the link”
. It should be visible now, could you take a look?
If what you are saying is correct, and one cannot get a replacement of that roughly 9”x1” plastic piece (when it’s obvious that most of the time the rubber on that will be the first thing to go brittle and break), then this is pretty much planned obsolescence. Let a $5 piece break, but sell only the $150 part that includes that. I now it’s not your fault, but if this is the case it’s infuriating.
Thanks for the help!
Yup, that’s gonna be part of the control panel assembly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
