Parts or tests already tried: Replaced water inlet valve and drain filter
Welcome to 2026 - around noon on 1/1, washer starts beeping while running a load - needless to say, after the holidays, lots of dishes needing done.
I stop the unit by opening the door - I see an e15 code.
Begin steps of troubleshooting the e15 - there is water in the bottom of the unit. Do the reset to drain the unit and then start checking. Piece of broken glass in the filter at the bottom and there is a plastic piece of the filter broken off. Remove the glass and clean the filter, looks okay. Clean everything and dry it out nicely.
Restart the cycle, beeping within about 3 minutes - pull open the door to look, spills water into the bottom, trigger another e15. More cleaning and drying at the bottom - more review of e15 seems to indicate valve issues. With the unit open at the bottom, attempt to see if it is leaking while running. Beeping and now an e18 error code.
Took the valve out and inspect - there is some debris in the pre-filter, clean thoroughly. Also noticed that the inlet/outlet plastic piece is really nasty looking, took it out and attempted to clean it (quite unsuccessfully - still looks disgusting).
Reinstalled everything, first test threw an e08 error code - reset everything and tested again - e18.
Took everything apart again and checked some more, no water anywhere it shouldn’t be - did the diagnostic self-test and things seemed okay. Tried again, more beeping…
Bought an inlet valve from Amazon (for fast delivery on the weekend) - installed last night, same thing. The Amazon valve felt very hot to the touch after I checked everything - removed and put my original one in since that was not the issue.
I have ordered a new water inlet part - the large plastic part that runs the inlet and outlet hoses that looks nasty - should have it soon, will test again at that point.
On another topic, the middle drawer, that has the spray arm attached, where it connects to the back of the unit, those o-rings, beige looking, are very degraded - is there a replacement for just the o-rings?
