woke up this morning water on the floor. opened fridge and freezer (side by side unit)both compartments were warm, lights are on and fans are running.

Most likely the problem is bad compressor starting components. Here what you should do: unplug the refrigerator, Take off the old relay and overload and cool down the compressor. Then use omh meter to check for the continuity between 3 prongs of compressor. Next check any of the prongs to the ground. You should be looking for 0 continuity to ground. Install the start components kit. When compressor will start take off the front grill and check the condenser coils. I bet they are clogged with lint - clean them, using vacuum and appliance brush.

Before ordering parts, verify the start device is bad. Pry it off and shake it. If it rattles, it’s bad. If you have an ohmeter check the continuity between the bottom compressor pins in the start device, should be between 5 and 10 ohms.
