This refrigerator was in a flood and a couple of inches of water submerged the compressor and its Run capacitor, overload relay and start relay. The system does not get cold in either the freezer or refrigerator. Took back panel off and saw that the compressor clicks once evry so often but does not run. Everything looks new and in good condition. There is air circulation inside the unit and the light works. I know that something has shorted with the water hitting them. Which component should be the most likely replacement. The Run capacitor? The overload, or the start relay? Correction,…this is a whirlpool, not a Maytag.
I would replace the relay/overload item, AP4433935 ,most probable failure due to contamination.
