I can turn fridge off or on with cold control but sometime will not turn off automatically even when cold. Will replacing cold control thermostat (your part # AP 4084658 ) fix the problem?

As long as you are sure that the freezer and fresh food sections are getting down to the set point temperatures then replacing the control thermostat should fix it.
