Clutch adjustment A104 Top Load Maytag

I have had the drive pulley off and now need to put it back on.

I don’t know how to set the pulley rotation in the spin direction to have proper clutch sliip on spin start up.

Of course, proper clutch slip is needed to limit motor current and prevent motor overheating.

Someone please help with proper procedure or link to service manual for this A104 top load washer.

There is no clutch adjustment. You need to assemble the brake housing components, brake disk, spring and bearing. Once assembled, the serrated stop lug, with the tab must be put in and adjusted to put sufficient pressure on the helix to travel up and disengage the brake when the pulley is turned in the spin direction.
