I have a Whirlpool wfw9750wr00, about 1.25 years old, which worked good until a guest put a lot of liquid HE detergent in it. I would guess about 1/2 to 3/4 cup. It now leaves the clothes wet. It seems to go through the cycles properly and spin OK but when it is complete I can rotate the drum manually and hear water in the drum. I can’t see any water but I can hear it. I can run a drain/spin cycle and it is better but not as good as before.
We have ran some vinegar and some affresh cycles and it seems a little better but not anywhere near as good as before. I have to always run a drain/spin cycle. Is the pump weak or clogged with detergent? Is there a way to clean out the extra detergent to get it back to normal? If so how much vinegar or other cleaner do we use and what mode or water temp/setting?

It is the same as before. Is my guess of the pump being weak far off? If after a wash is over I manually spin the drum and can hear, and feel resitance, water splashing (non visible inside the drum where the clothes are) the only thing left is that the pump is not expelling all of the water. Does that seem like a correct hypyhesis? I don’t know what else could be wrong. My friend says that after his wash is done he can turn his drum and there is no water in it and not feel any extra resistance.
If I run an extra drain/spin cylcle I can’t feel or hear the water as I can without runing the extra cycle.

I know it has been a while since I posted. I replaced the pump and still have the same issue. We have been living with it. About 90% of the time we end up doing an extra drain/spin cycle. Any idea of what else could be wrong?
