I bought WPL 4318165 (now called AP3103517) last July. I called for help in selecting which cams to use for the refrigerator door. No one was able to help me select them so I made the best guess I could. Obviously, since the door won’t close again, I probably picked the wrong ones. Of the ones I have left out of the kit I have 1 marked 4, 1 marked 10, 1 marked 6, 1 marked 3, 1 marked 7, and 1 marked 16.
I don’t know what the other 2 that I installed were marked.
Which ones do I use and do I need to get another kit?
There are 6 cams, 2 shims and 8 screws in this universal kit. If you have 6 cams left, what did you install last year?
Because this kit designed for a few different types of door hinges, you had to choose one which will match what ever is in the door of your refrigerator. The major difference is between the upper cams - one with a cylinder which goes inside the door and another one without a such cylinder.
The reason for the extras is that I went to Searsparts first. Unfortunatly, I see no way to determine what is an upper cam. The cam that was in there originally did not have the post.
