Trying to change from 3 prong to 4 prong. Not sure how to rewire as the colors don’t match on dryer and new 4 prong plug. Back of dryer has green ground wire and then red, green and neutral wire. New 4 prong plug has green, red, black and white. When I attached new plug dryer does not work. Help!
Here is a wiring diagram

Your unit’s wiring does not match the wiring diagram so I can only give general info.
The color code is:
Red = L1
Black = L2
White = Neutral
Green = Earth Ground
On most unit’s terminal strip L1 and L2 are on the outside terminals and Neutral is the center terminal.
When switching from 3 to 4 wire the ground strap that goes from Neutral terminal to the machine frame has to be removed and the green from the line cord gets attached to the frame. Now he Neutral and earth ground are separate.

Have you checked the power at the plug?
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
