Chambers range GSU-33

I have a 20+years old Chambers range. One of the knobs stop turning and thus no gas to that burner. I took stove apart as much as I dare but can not fix it. The knob does push down and disconect a lock-in part but it still does not turn. The gas controler bellow the knob part number is 8447 305369. Any ideas?

Thanks

Yury

I have traced the problem to gas valve part # 8447. I found simmilar one but it was not produced anymore http://www.************************.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=a13c237i1236677&PartID=1236677

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have two valves that do not turn on a Chambers GSU-33-E-1 circa 1980.

Other than some gentle force, what is best method suggested to “unstick”?

@yshmul…what was your outcome?

[SIZE=2]Ok…a few more details.

Far left switch (front right burner) is free spinning, appears to be stuck in depresssed.occasionally trigger spark, but does not open gas valve.

Next switch to left (rear left burner) is really stiff to turn and appears to be stuck in depresssed and works.

Nonmenclature on switch:

Top (raised lettering on switch)-

125 VAC

10AMP

S18

And a “W” shaped made from multiple triangles with a bar or line horizontally through it.

Side (ink stamped)-

81 38S

580-012
