the dishwasher starts normally then stops when it reaches the rinse/hold cycle. if you then manually move the knob a widget pass the rinse/hold cycle, it continues on doing the correct thing but continues on one full cycle to the rinse/hold marking unless i stop it manually.
Sure does sound like the TIMER is bad.
