Cannot remove door
All videos on door removal reference newer GE models. They all say once springs are removed door lifts vertically off pins on each side. On my GE, no amount of lifting and jiggling at different door angles frees door. Is there a very specific way to do this?
If that door’s not lifting off even with the springs removed, you’ll probably need to split the inner and outer door panels and take it off the hinges from there.
Thank you. If no easier solution arises, I’ll try that. Is that a common requirement? Shouldn’t virtually all dishwasher doors lift off once the springs are unhooked?
No problem. There are lots of models that the manufacturer(s) never intended for the door to come off unless repair is required, just depends on what you’ve got.
Sounds plausible. I was amazed that I couldn’t find one online reference to removing the door from my model. Everything seems to be about newer ones. Mine is old (15-30 years), but not ancient by any means.
