My oven is a Amana args7650 s/n 0008131794 manufacture # p1130765nww
The broiler does not start. Based on a few other searches on the net it would seem that the broiler igniter is not functioning.
Can I test the broiler igniter to determine if it is not function use a multimeter?
Also the oven temperature does not seem right. If the oven is set to 375 the oven itself is 350. Could this be the temperature sensor? Can the sensor be tested?
I have same model number and judging by post date of your message I’m guessing you solved problem by now. I am going with same conclusion you drew initially (the ignitor), but on the off chance you still check here, could you clue me in if that was it and you fixed it?

Ok, I’m adding a little more info in case anyone who understands these things happens to browse my post. I starting taking my oven apart to get the oven ignitor out. It looks like the flat replacement ap 3440673 or the ap 2934763 will be what I need. The first one says if ceramic nuts are needed. I started tracing the wires back and they are very long and go to seperate places in the unit. My question was, do you normally cut the wires and install the new unit? If so, should I cut them on the back side of the stove where they come out so they are not exposed to as much heat, and buy the ones without ceramic nuts?
Thanks in advance for any assistance. I can post pics if needed. As a matter of fact, after I finish this post, I’ll try to get a pic if possible and see if the forum allows it.
The arrow points to where the wires come out. So I was wondering if I can cut these wires on the backs side, wire them up with some wire nuts and call it good. Do I still need to use ceramic wire nuts?
