I need some serious help. Washer is one year old. I was washing a load and it stopped in the middle of a cycle. The washer was still filled with water. Wouldn’t drain or anything. Unplugged it for a few and plugged it in. Sensing light will come on and you hear a fainting humming. Lid lock will not lock and lid lock light does not come on. Humming is constant even when washer is off. Have to keep it unplugged to keep it from humming constantly. Any idea what it might be. Thanks.
Sounds like something caught in or a bad drain pump. It’s the one on the bottom right of the outter tub.

Thank you! Thank you! Got my husband to take it off and sure enough…somehow a long nail got in the drain pump blocking the gear. Put in back on and worked perfectly fine!
