Bosh diskwasher won;t stop washing

Hello - this is a great site folks, thanks for it, I’ve been reading it and the Boch troubleshooting guide.

My Bosch SHU33A02UC/40 DW won’t stop washing.

I’ve taken the front panel off and watched the rinse dispenser mechanism actuate during the cycle, but it never finishes.

This started last week when the sanitize light failed to light at the end of the cycle, now it doesn’t every finish - had a 4.5 hour wash the other night

When I palce this DW in test mode the “Regular Wash” lights up and the “Rinse Hold” flashes

Is this an error code or normal for this model ?

Thanks

Steve

The attached picture is of the underside of the controller from this DW, I circled 3 things that look bad and I’m hoping one of these fixes the problem.

  1. the cold solder joint in the laft middle of the board (underneath a relay unit on the top side)
  2. and 3) leads from the grey ribbon cable are bent over and contacting the circuit board

Hello

Well fixing the cold solder joint and the bent pins has corrected the problem partially.

The DW now runs and completes a cycle however the “santize” light does not light up when completed the way it used to. just clean and regular wash light up when done.

Placing the DW in test mode confirms that the santize light is nt burned out, also while in test mode, the “regular wash” light remains lit, and the “rinse & hold” is flashing.

I ran it a second time and everything worked fine. Sanitize light comes on and dishes appear cleaner when the y come out than they have in a long time.

BTW, my local appliance parts place called me back and left me a message …

$261.95 for a new control module plus taxes … did I want it ? Installation is extra

Umm, no thanks - I found appliancepartpros.com

Hvae a good day.

Where is the picture in your post? I also have a Bosch d/w that will not stop on reg cycle, but does fine on rinse & hold.
