The power module in my washer is not exactly the same model as the one I shared before but the wiring appears to be the same. This is a picture of my actual power module:
I was finally able to test the resistance based on the connectors I removed from the board. Here are the readings:
1-2: 10 Ohms
1-3: 0 Ohms
2-3: 0 Ohms
I also wanted to discard a harness/cabling issue so I went ahead and disconnected the harness from the pump and measured from top to bottom following the same numbering scheme and with the same results as above so I think we can safely conclude the issue is a faulty circulation pump that needs to be replaced. I just ordered the part you recommended.
My dishwasher has a bottom plastic cover so its not the same one shown in the video below:
However, I saw another of video where the bottom is removed. Is it really necessary and/or recommended to remove it to install this part? I saw conflicting information in the comments so I’d like to know your opinion:
Lastly, while I am having the electric company install a whole apartment surge suppressor at the meter/electric panel box level, is there a specific brand/model one you recommend to be installed at the electric outlet to protect the electronics of the Dishwasher?
Thanks again for your assistance!
Regards,
Edward
