My Bosch SHU8802UC/UC12 is stuck in the draining part of the cycle. The dishwasher continues to run even when the door is opened. It will power off if I shut it off via the power button. I have tried tripping the breaker to the dishwasher and after powering back on it is still in the same endless draining cycle. I have tried dumping some water in the tub and the water does drain very quickly so it does not appear to be clogged. Filters are clean. I appreciate any sugestions. I do have a multimeter to do continuity tests, I just don’t know where to begin or what the results should be.

Thank you for the help, I sure appreciate it. I checked for water in the base - it’s completely dry, no signs of water at all. This dishwater has never needed service / never been opened so I don’t think the latch switch is miss-wired. Could a bad latch switch cause this?

If the dishwasher is working with the door open then there is definitely something wrong with the door switch. The instructions attached to the previous reply are not only about miss wired switch.
You also have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and check the water level switch assembly (on the left side).
I just checked continuity across the terminals on the latch switch. The latch switch has 3 terminals. I will call them (from left to right) 1,2,3. When the door is opened continuity between:
1-2 = opened
2-3 = closed
When the door is closed continuity between:
1-2 = opened
2-3 = opened
you’ll see the three terminals. The very bottom terminal is Common, the middle terminal is Normally Open and the upper terminal is Normally Closed.
With the door closed your meter should read the open circuit between the Com. and NC terminals, and the closed circuit between the Com. and the NO terminals.
I do not have the wiring diagram for this model, but I believe there suppose to be two wires connected to the switch, one to the Com. terminal and another one to the NO terminal.
According to the documentation you provided in your last reply, the switch tests fine. So if the latch switch is working properly, would a problem with the float you spoke of earlier cause this? It just seems odd about it running with the door opened. The controls do light up by the way. Think it could be a bad control module? When I unplug the wire harness that has three white wires and an orange color on the connector, the motor does stop. Does this help at all?
Well, I called a Bosch professional to come take a look at my problem. It turns out the only thing wrong was the float was stuck. He removed the toe panel and wiggled the float up and down a couple times. It’s working great again.
