Brand: Bosch
Model Number: SHPM98w75N/10
Main Symptom: Does not drain
What happens & when:
It’s been throwing E23 or E25 leaving some water in the bottom of the tub. I don’t know if this has been in the middle of or the end of the wash cycles.
During testing, I have run a rinse cycle. It would fill with water, spray, then fail to drain and throw E25. I can turn off the dishwasher, turn it back on, then run a cancel cycle. It will drain the tub. The drain pump also comes on at the begging of the cycle.
I have inspected the drain line and it is all clear. The sump was inspected and is clear. I felt the drain pump impeller, and that is ok and spins freely. No bits of food found there either.
I replaced the drain pump about a year ago because it sounded like the bearing was going bad.
Error Code (if any): E23, E25

Hi,
A copy:
E23
Issue with drain pump
Indicates there is an issue with the drain pump. This happens when the drain pump is blocked, clogged, or faulty
Drain pump, drain hose fault.
E25
Drain pump blocked, drain issue, filter clogged or pump impeller is jammed.
Indicates the drain pump is blocked or the drain pump cover is loose or missing. Clogged drain pump, clogged drain hose, drain pump cover fault.
If the entire drain system is clear, I’d try another drain pump as the best place to start.

Drain Pump Assembly

The drain pump windings can be tested for resistance to identify if the drain pump or the control module would be the most likely cause of failure. If you access the control module after turning the appliance power supply off, there are three gray wires at connection 5 that can be used to test the drain pump. Testing each gray wire to the others, there should be a resistance of 130 Ohms each time if the drain pump is good and the control module would be the most likely cause of failure. If one of the wire tests shows a lower or higher resistance of more than 5 Ohms, the drain pump would be the issue. Bosch 12016887 Control Board (AP6240658) - AppliancePartsPros.com
How do I identify connection 5?
It should be the only connector with the three gray wires.
