Had the 2h problem. Could not find a burnt heater relay. Replaced control module and ran tests. Error code 2, heater problem. Where is it? How do I get to it? The whole underside of the washer is molded plastic.
This is to help others with a like problem. Nothing in the self test helps if the circulation pump rotor has become dislodged and melted inside its housing, which is what was wrong after I achieved complete disassembly of everything under the tub! A melted part does not speak well for the durability. Trail and error mostly on disassembly. Two screws front and rear and set on back and remove metal stays for door tensioner and the bottom slides away. Wiring needs to be managed but everything basicly falls apart for access. If you change parts beware that they do not give you any hose clamps, and the ones you take off are not reuseable. Small hose clamps are actually hard to find also. I had to go to a specialty fitting company to make it work. Good Luck
Hi Cwiper,
the circulation pump on my DW is broken as well and I have the problem as well to remove the bottom to get access to the pump. I have a SHU 9920 model. I have already removed the obvious srewa on the front (under the kick panel), but don’t know where the screws on the back would be located. Could you also explain, what you mean by ‘metal stays’ ?
thanks, Sigi
