Bosch dishwasher water inlet leak (with video!)

I inherited this Bosch dishwasher but I’m not able to figure out how to stop the it from leaking water out of the top of the water inlet on the fill cycle. I took a video of what was happening to show exactly how it happens. What could be causing this?

Hi.

The water inlet system should be replaced AP2802392

Check the Q and A.

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

How would replacing that part help? I’ve compared it to other correctly functioning parts and it is the same with nothing broken internally.

It’s got to be a restriction in the water inlet system witch caused the overflowing.

I’m curious; did you watch the video? The water is flowing through the inlet assembly and into the bluish float assembly. If there is a restriction, wouldn’t it be from the float assembly forward? Wouldn’t this back up the water in the inlet assembly?

It turns out that the access valve (water inlet valve) is exactly what the issue was. Once the valve was replaced the water level was correct and there was no overflowing. There was no restriction in the water inlet system “which caused” the overflowing. There was simply too much water getting in. There is an internal diaphragm to the water valve that regulates water flow; this diaphragm was not functioning as designed. $36 part versus an $80 part.

Thank you for very helpful information.
