This is a description of the repair of a Bosch dishwasher SHE66C05UC which had water leaking into the lower tray.
Cliff Notes version: The sump pump drain hose was leaking at the support post located near the outlet of the pump. The solution is so replace the sump drain hose.
Full Story: The dishwasher was stuck in drain cycle. Even if I reset the dishwasher, when I would turn the unit on the sump/drain pump would turn on. After I reviewed the Appliance Pro forums, I disassembled the side of the unit and noticed that the tray was full of water. I knew there must be a leak somewhere, but I had to find it.
Finding the leak: To find the leak, I shut off the supply water to the dishwasher. Then using a sponge and paper towels, I was able to get all the water out of the bottom tray. I then turned the supply water back on and started looking for the leak. I noticed a small water flow coming from the sump drain hose support column located near the outlet of the sump pump. I took out the drain hose and notice there was a small hole in the hose.
Making the repair: I ordered a new hose from Appliance Pro’s and reinstalled it. No more leak. I have attached pictures where the leak occurred and the hole in the hose. I hope this helps others in rectifying this problem.
