Hi Harold, do you happen to know where I could get a similar trouble shooting manual for a Bosch SMU 3036?
Appreciated.
Blake
The wiring connector diagram for the SHU 33 in this manual does not match the connector in my SHU 33; not even close. Mine is shu33a06uc/22. Any ideas?
Very nice. Thank you for posting it.
Thanks for the help
I repaired the burnt connection on circuit board
I cant download this info, it shows a error in message is there another way
jdago,
There is nothing wrong with the link. Try to use a different browser.

I also found and soldered the burnt connection on the control board. It’s a pain to open the plastic housing the board is in, but don’t worry about cutting a couple of the plastic prongs out of the way…dishwasher works very well again…I do wish there were an economy cycle…it takes about an hour and a half…
thank you, it worked
great find…saveda service call!!
Thanks! Been looking for this for awhile
Thank you so much. I was able to just order the control module front cover to fix those “broken cycles”[FONT=Arial][SIZE=4][FONT=Arial][SIZE=4][FONT=Arial][SIZE=4][FONT=Arial][SIZE=4]

Hello.
I need a repair manual for Bosch unit DW246ub can any tell me where to locate one?
I actually have a Thermador DW246ub and can not even find a repair manual to buy online, it is a 2000 unit dishwasher. One person told me it is the same unit as the Bosch, not having even seen the Bosch dishwasher, I can believe them ,as it has the same numbers.
Please advise is anyone can help?
Thanks,
Kara
Hi Harold,
Thanks I did read your manual and it was helpful in giving me ideas; but it does not have my unit Bosch DW246UB or its sister brand Thermador ( made by Bosch) model #DW246UB( FD-7711-7912)–which is the unit I have.
It seems I can not buy this repair manual anywhere, or even find one online ![]()
Do you have any idea where I can find one?
My dishwasher still has a letter f. I wrote a new post today which gives the break down of my problems with this dishwasher.
Hello,
Does any know where I can find a manual for this dishwasher. I am told the Thermador unit is the same as the Bosch DW246ub.
I copied pasted it below
Here is my problem.
Yesterday water came pouring out of the front of my unit. I checked the inside stacking of the dishes, water arms inside the unit were found in good condition with no cracks. I did reposition a large pot and cleared any debris from the screen, and the internal round screen basket. I noticed some un-popped popcorn kernels in the trap before the impeller and I cleaned those out too.
I turned the unit back on and at first everything seem to work okay…then a letter F appeared in my LCD . I looked it up and it seems I have a fill problem. I even placed a gallon of hot water inside the machine to see what it would do; well for a few minutes it worked fine --spraying the water on the upper and lower racks, and then drained from my machine…and would run and run and run and I stopped the machine.
I checked my solder welds in my control unit and all look bright and shiny silver with no burned out marks. I placed it all back together and to no -avail , I get the dreaded letter “F” failed fill mark. I did take the lower panel off and found when the water gushed out it had soaked the sound batting in between my dishwasher door.
I order a new water flow valve today and I am hoping and guessing that this may be the problem–It would be helpful if I could get a repair manual does anyone have one?
Also, if anyone else has any clue what else to do let me know. I am pretty handy as I figured out on my own how to fix the large bearing broken inside the drum of my dryer. I hope I can fix this dishwasher.
Thanks,
Kara
Thanks for posting the manual - any ideas on removing sediment in the dishwasher from the water?
I had to by pass the water filter system due to a leak, our water has high sediment and I think the sediment is clogging the system.
I would check the water flow valve–There is a screen that could be clogged. If you did want to clean it, then a replacement is around $ 23.95
Goodluck!
Kara

Bosch 2042 (and others?) fill valve tip
I have a Bosch 2042 that was in the house we bought 8 years ago. I like it even though it’s a little small. About 2-3 years ago, the dishes weren’t getting clean and I traced the problem to a faulty fill valve. This model is a timed fill only so, if the water flow is restricted, there won’t be enough water coming in during the 1 minute fill cycle to adequately clean the dishes. The same symptom occured a few weeks ago and I ordered another fill valve. After removing the water line, I saw that the inlet strainer was clogged with a lot of debris (don’t know from where). Anyhow, I suspected that the fill valve was not bad after all. But, since I was in this far and had the replacement part, I went ahead and swapped it out. Now, I proceeded to dismantle the old valve to see how it works and discovered that the inlet strainer can indeed be removed! It takes some very gentle prying with a small screwdriver and patience. Once out, I was able to clean the gunk off. I reassemble the valve and will try it out should the symptom re-appear in the future.
Anyway, I wanted to pass this along because I noticed this same situation (clogged strainer) in my original repair job. I remember trying to get the strainer out but gave up. Perhaps this time around I was braver since I had a new one in hand. Maybe I could have saved some money in the first place. If you have a similar model and the tub ins’t filling, 1) it’s probably the fill valve and 2) may be just a clogged strainer on the inlet of the valve.

I have a SHU3326UC-14. It keeps kicking out the drain cover and leaving water in the bottom. Replaced drain cover and same thing. Any ideas?
that document had all the info i was going to post questions about! should be able to fix my dishwasher fairly easily now, thanks
Thanks for posting that manual. I can understand why the mfr doesn’t want them out there, but it sure helps the amateur troubleshooter. I found it after I ordered a new control module. I don’t think the board was salvagable, it was pretty burnt and pitted. I could have jumpered around the fried area, but it would probably fail again.
There is mention in this manual, and another manual I found a reference on a one page guide on “Measuring the resistance from the front of any SHU or SHI dishwasher.”. All I have been able to find are specific model schematics. I have an SHU 4002/UC. Thanks!
All instructions from this manual are for models with a control modules. Your model is very different because it operates by the timer. You can find the circuit diagrams and the quick check charts in the break down diagrams and Replacement parts for BOSCH SHU4002 UC/06 | AppliancePartsPros.com
