Bosch Dishwasher, question about the drain pump

I have read many of the questions and responses concerning Bosch drain pumps. From that I was able to access and remove it.

Originally I had two problems: The pump was loud and it ran constantly. I realized it was running because there was water in the base. So, I removed the pump and thought maybe it was leaking.

Can someone tell me if the impellor is supposed to be sealed? The one I took out comes apart easily and there was water around the magnet.

OK… I can answer this myself now. If anyone has a loud drain pump and is wondering if they can replace it themselves, I can tell you from experience that you can.
If you remove the two Torx screws that hold the rubber moulding on the left side of the dishwasher it will allow the metal side panel to come off. I used a flashlight to orient myself and then with my right hand from the front to press down the locking tab, I used my left hand from the side to rotate the motor clockwise. (I had taken off both wires to the motor first). Installing was just as easy.
