Main Symptom: Can’t change cycle type
What happens & when: When you press the on button the lower display shows the length of a full cycle (132 minutes) but the upper display (top of the door) is blank, and none of the buttons (to change cycle length, delay start, etc.) work.
Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced switch button, because none of the displays worked. Now it turns on, but as noted I can’t change cycles, and I don’t know for sure that it works at all as the dishwasher is still pulled out… A Google search indicated that I need a new main control board, but the parts guy told me that part isn’t made anymore. I do have a new electronic control board (which is not the same as the main control board and was ordered in error) but I’m not really keen to put it in if that wouldn’t cure the problem, as it is a $321 part… Any thoughts?
