Our Bosch diswasher makes a terrible, loud, deep pitched, gutteral noise several times during its cycle. The first incident occurs two minutes after we start the cycle. The dishes still get clean, the tub drains, besides the noise, all seems well.
your drain pump is going bad.
Hi sueandrob
The first thing I would do is try to pin point the noise. I’ve seen many times when such noise was coming from the water shut off valve under the sink during the fill cycle.
Good luck.

I have a similar bosch with model number shx46bo7. This past week came in from outside to find dishwasher making loud noise from the underneath. When I turned off the water shut off valve the noise quit. Have tried running a few loads since. The machine starts and seems to run fine. It intermitantly makes this grinding/fluttering noise. If I slowly turn the water shut off valve off slowly the noise quits. I am able to immediately slowly reopen the valve without noise returning until later in the cycle. I reapeat this step over and over. I have searched many forums and your answer is the only one close to my problem. Is this a problem with my water valve or is a part on my machine probably starting to break and needs replaced? I have fixed my kenmore washer and dryer issues so hoping I can fix this too.
Touch the water shut off valve during that noise and, if it vibrates, call a plumber.

I have an identical problem with a Frigidaire. Sounds like the thing is snoring at certain intervals during the cycle. Im unable to identify which cycle, as I dont know much about dishwashers! It happens about 30 seconds into the cycle, and then intermittently. Ive removed the lower access panel, and all i can tell is its coming from the lower portion of the machine (I know, big help huh!). My best guess is it happens when the machine is emptying the water.
I think I spent $400.00 on the machine and am wondering if its even worth fixing vs. buying a new one. Its only 3 years old, but runs 1/2 dozen times a week.
We are willing to help you, but we need as much as possible description on the problem. So far it’s very hard to say what is going on with your dishwasher.

Gene I cant even find the Model # on the machine!
It suppose to be on the door frame.
Gene.
That was the first place I looked…nada.
OK, I have narrowed it down to a drain cycle. After the noise stops, I opened the dishwasher and the tub is emptied of water. It also occurs right when the machine has turned on, on any cycle. It last for just maybe 5 seconds, then begins to fill up. No issues other then when the machine is draining/emptying.
You may want to check the drain pump. Unfortunately I’m not able to give you more specific instructions without the model number.

All your help/assistance is greatly appreciated! If you have any auto detailing needs, let me know!
The model number you posted does not look as a valid Frigidaire model number. Try to use the model number locator.
Gene.
Well thats rather interesting. I took the number off the frame abutting the door. Model # was listed right below Serial #. Does Electrolux ring a bell? As the dishwasher wears a Frigidaire badge, but names Electrolux on the Model/Serial tag.
Frigidaire belongs to Electrolux. Electrolux bought it a few years ago.
Model number is always on top of serial number. It should start with three or four letters.

Gene, its either an F or an E, then DBB945DC1. Hope THAT helps, cuz Im SOL if thats not it…
It’s an F!
The drain pump is located on the right side of the main pump sump (#60 on the diagram). You probably have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet to access it.
Remove the drain pump and check the pump and its hoses.

I’m having this exact same problem. Noise starts, shut the water valve, noise stops then runs fine. Does it towards the end of the cycle. Any suggestions? Bosch model #SHE44C06UC

I’m having this exact same problem. Noise starts, shut the water valve, noise stops then runs fine. Does it towards the end of the regular wash cycle but not on the quick wash cycle. Any suggestions? Bosch Dishwasher model #SHE44C06UC
