Bosch Model# SHP65TL2UC displaying E17 error code. Water is not being let in. Earlier had an E15 error code that I figured out was a leak in the base of the unit caused by leaking inlet valve that I’ve replaced. E15 situation corrected, but now this new code and unit will not run properly due to lack of water. I tested to be sure I have water flow to the inlet valve and that checks out. I’m wondering now if I have a defective new water inlet valve? How can I test the new part to be sure? Does this seem the likely reason why not getting water into the unit? Any help would be appreciated.

E17 means the unit is seeing the water level as too low or too high via a sensor built into the Circulation Motor and Heater Assembly 00753351. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not supplied a resistance rating for us to try testing the solenoid on the water valve, but you may try resetting the unit by unplugging it for 5 minutes and testing for 120v AC at the valve when starting a cycle. If you have voltage to the valve you might try disconnecting the hose between it and the inlet assembly at the inlet assembly, put it in a large bowl or something to catch water, reset the unit and start another cycle, and see if the valve is letting water through. If it is then you have either a blockage in the system somewhere or a bad circulation motor.
Thanks Rory. I checked things out as suggested and the valve gets 120 v to it and water is flowing thru that line. So i guess there’s nothing wrong with the new valve assembly. As far as a blockage in the water system is concerned I really cant imagine what would be the cause or source of that - everything I can see seems proper (not crushed or kinked, etc). Where might a blockage occur in your experience? I’m going to check out the cost of the circulation motor you identified to see if that makes sense on a 10 yr old unit. Thanks so much!
