Two of my rectangular push buttons have fallen out of the control panel. The aren’t brokern, and the toggle switch now showing behind them works, Can I reinsert the buttons to once again cover the toggle switch?

The buttons are broken. They have a tab on the bottom that breaks off. Take your model number to the appliance part store and buy 2 new buttons. You need to take the front panel, and the control panel off the door. There are 3 tabs holding the control module onto the control panel. Once its off you snap in the new buttons, and reassemble.

My 2 buttons don’t seem to be broken. The tabs on the bottom look good. They apparently came loose and have fallen out. But since you feel I can just disassemble and put them back in , then reassemble - that is now my plan. Thanks so much. Just didn’t know if I needed a new control panel, etc. However, after I disassemble, I probably will need one. I’m that good of a mechanic…
