Bosch detergent door won't open - new question

Yes…yet another post on the Bosch detergent door not opening during the wash cycle.

So, we have a Bosch model SHE58c05uc/53 dishwasher. I was unable to find a diagnostic manual that included the SHE line of dishwashers. So, not sure of the diagnostic test codes.

We went ahead and ordered a replacement dispenser. We installed it, but no luck. It still does not work.

So, my questions are:

  1. If it is not the actual dispenser, what are the other potential issues causing this problem?

  2. If more than one other potential causes, is there any testing I can do to figure it out?

  3. For the potential causes, are they pricy fixes? After spending $70 or so on the replacement dispenser, I hate to sink much more into an old machine if it still may not work :slight_smile:

I have the same question. I’ve replaced the dispenser unit and it still doesn’t work. I’ve seen other posts about maybe it’s not getting the right voltage from the control board and that may need to be replaced. At over $300 for that part, I don’t like the idea of continuing the hit or miss this problem
