Bosch 800 series dishwasher water tap error beeping

Main Symptom: water tap error on display and beeping
What happens & when: a few minutes after starting the cycle, the dishwasher starts beeping and the water tap error illuminates. I can watch the clear fill tank fill as the inlet valve cycles, but it doesn’t seem to be circulating well in the dishwasher itself when running.

Error Code (if any): water tap error (no number, just a word on the display that says water tap)
Parts or tests already tried: I have watched the tank fill and drain through a cycle. I removed the inlet hose and checked the screen, it had some crud but I know that was from before my whole home filter which has been a few years now.

I just ordered an inlet valve, diverter valve and main circulation pump. I figure if I have it apart I want to replace anything I might touch. Any other suggestions?

If there is not a kinked or clogged hose, it is very possible that the inlet valve is not letting the proper amount of water through. When the dishwasher fills, how far above the sump filter screen does the water get?
