I have an Estate by Whirlpool dryer with a blown thermofuse. I want to know if i have to replace the 4 pronged thermostat, which is directly below it, also. Thank you kindly.
If the thermal fuse failed, it is best to ensure the venting from the dryer to the outside of the house is clear and unobstructed by excessive bends in the line, or lint preventing airflow at the outlet. This airflow restriction is what causes the problem, much more than the operating thermostat failing.
