Blown circuit breaker

The dishwasher blows the circuit breaker when the wash cycle enters the drying (heating portion) of the wash cycle. I disconnected the red and white wires to the heater and the cycle completes. I replaced the heater element but that didn’t resolve the circuit breaker issue. I’m wondering if there is some other electrical overload issue. Could it be the Hi-Limit Thermostat. I don’t want to replace components at random. Any help will be great.

Hello.Since you have replaced the element which was the problem , breaker still kicking you must have a loose connection at the power source, this is where I would start, most likely you have a loose wire nut, causing the breaker to flip. This will help keep the new element clean AP5691606 thank you and good luck !

I can bring closure to this thread. It turns out that there was not a problem with the dishwasher it was a problem with the surge protector in the power strip. After replacing the power strip and running through a few wash and dry cycles all is working as it should.

Thanks for your reply.
