When turning on either the top or bottom of our Double oven (not convection), a loud vibrating sound seems to be coming from the top of the lower oven. I think it could be the blower motor. Is there only one motor for both ovens? Would both need to be replaced? Also, from what I read, are the whirlpool and kitchen-aid parts inter-changable?
Hi.
There are two blowers - one for each oven. They are different and fully independent from each other.
Replacement of the blower fan requires pulling the oven out.
Let me know if you need instructions.

Seems odd both motors would go out at the same time. Could it be anything else?
In you own words: vibrating sound seems to be coming from the top of the lower oven.[LEFT][COLOR=#000000]
Is it coming from the top oven or the bottom oven?
According to information you provided, I assumed that it’s coming from bottom.

Vibrations sound like it is located in the proximity of the center of the the two ovens. If I turn on top oven, bottom oven, or both ovens, the sound is the same. Do both blower motors operate from the same circuit? Thus when either oven is on, I am hearing the bad motor??
Hi.
I recommend you to remove the oven and find exactly where the noise comes from.
Simon.
Simon,
I need to replace the blower in a kitchen aid kdrp467kss09. Are there any instructions to show how to get the blower out and install new one?
Hi.
To replace the blower:
Turn the power off.
Pull the range away from the wall.
Remove two braces and rear panel.
Remove blower motor cover (4 screws).
Remove blower motor assembly (5 screws).
Good luck.
Simon.
I read on another forum that it is possible that the top blower operates when either oven is turned on. Is this accurate? Given the size of this unit I would like to only pull it out once.
Hi.
You are right: both fans come on when either oven is on.

Simon.
hello. my problem sounds very, very similar to the original post, so I figured I’d reply here.
I have a KitchenAid double convection oven (model KEBC207KWH0), occasionally a loud screeching noise comes from in between the two ovens. We never use the convection … and have confirmed that it is not spinning when the screeching noise happens.
The noise happens regardless of whether we are using the upper or lower oven. And the noise will come and go. Sometimes the noise never happens, other times it will keep going for 10-15 minutes without stopped.
it doesn’t sound like a rattling or grinding noise, but more of a high pitched screeching. So I thought it wasn’t the blower motor just hitting the sides or off balance, but it could be. I didn’t know if it was the blower motor OR the transformer that operates the blower motord???
It definitely is coming from between the two ovens and I can see there is a blower motor down there which the schematics for the oven calls “blower motor lower”.
does this “lower” blower run only when you use the lower oven OR when either oven is working?
could it be the transformer or blower motor?
I tried cleaning the top blower motor (since I can reach that without pulling the oven out), even though the noise isn’t coming from the top, but it didn’t seem to make a difference.
thank you in advance for your thoughts!!
That sounds like a blower motor to me.
