Our dishwasher has had the blinking cancel light for several years. At first I would do the reset thing by toggling back and forth between hi temp and energy saver buttons and this would fix it, for a while.
Sadly the toggle trick no longer works.
We tested the ohms on the heater and hi temp thermostat and both are fine. So now we are looking at the latch.
Our latch is broken exactly like the one in the video below,
Whirlpool 8269117 Dishwasher Door Latch Handle - AppliancePartsPros.com
but our dishwasher opens and closes fine and runs for about 40 minutes before we get the blinking lights.
The video doesn’t say anything about this broken part causing the water not to heat, which would in turn cause the blinking cancel issue.
Could the little broken part in the video cause the issue?
Thanks,
Granny DP
