yesterday I replaced the faucet in my kitchen sink. As a precaution, I shut off all power underneath the sink and turned off all water valves. I had to remove the garbage disposal to get access under the sink, so the dishwasher drain hose was disconnected from the disposal. All went well, but when I turned everything back on, there is no water getting into the dishwasher. I checked to make sure all valves are in the on position, but thats not the problem. I haven’t yet pulled the dishwasher to see if somehow the supply hose got kinked, but it was not moved at all during the faucet install so that is not likely. Before I order a water inlet valve, I thought that I’d check and see if anyone had another idea. It seems like too much of a coincidence for the valve to fail.

The unit is 10 yrs old and has worked without any problems, the only repair that it needed was to replace the drain pump which I did about 2 yrs ago. I’d appreciate any suggestions - this is a real head scratcher.

It would be recommended to make sure that the valve is receiving 120 vac when the dishwasher calls for water. If there is 120 vac then this would be a faulty water valve.

Thx, will check later today.

I have a similar problem. Yesterday I replaced the circulation pump and when I put everything back and ran the machine it would not fill with water. I took the machine back apart to make certain that I replaced all of the electrical connections properly. After a full day of assembly and disassembly I ordered a new control valve and installed it. now a small amount of water enters the machine but not enough to allow it to run. I get a code E17
