This gas dryer is about 1.5 years old, just out of warranty. I’m no expert, but I’ve been learning up on this online 
Problem is that the dryer runs but there is no heat. Igniter glows hot and cycles fine, but no gas is released so there is no flame. I’ve checked everything for continuity: thermal fuse, thermal cutoff, high limit thermostat. They are all fine. I replaced the coils and that didn’t help. I did notice that the thermistor resistance reading is pretty far off. The repair guide says it should be 10,000 ohms, but it measures 14,000 ohms. Could that cause the gas valve to not open? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello.
If the ignitor gets really hot and switches off, gets hot and off
and there is no gas it tells me you have there a bad safety gas
valve (unless the gas is turned off at the wall).

Yes, that makes sense that it would be a bad valve. Is that hard to replace? Looks like I might need to remove the drum to have enough room. What about the thermistor resistance reading a lot higher than what it’s supposed to be? You dont think that could be it? Thanks,

Hi.
At this point let proceed with gas valve replacement.
To do that it’ll be better to remove the drum.
That will give you more space to work and less chance to
brake the ignitor.
