My fridge was not keeping things cool or frozen. The tech that came out determined the mother board was bad. He replaced it with one that he had on his truck. The part number on both boards are WR55X10552. After a week or so the fridge had the same problem. Since that was a board he had for a previous job he decided to oder a new one. The new board that came in superseeded the older board. Its number is WR55X10656. Once installed the new board would not even start the fridge. So he un-installed the boad and put the old one back temporially until the next new board could be ordered and installed. The new board came in (Same number WR55X10656) and he installed it. The same results. The fridge would not start at all.
We troubleshooted a bit and he manually got the defrost cycle to work by adding a jumper wire. It worked the fridge defrosted.
What gives? Why isn’t the new superseeded board working at all?
Help!!!
TIA,
Mark
